Photograph a document, submit a PDF
Almost no online form accepts a photograph. Portals want a PDF โ and the document you need to send is usually a physical thing on a table: a certificate, an ID card, a signed letter, a utility bill.
This tool closes that gap on your own device. Add the photos, put them in order, and get a single PDF back. The images are never uploaded.
Nothing is re-encoded
Your JPG and PNG files are embedded into the PDF byte for byte. There is no canvas step, no re-compression, no quality loss. The image inside the PDF is identical to the one on your phone.
This matters more than it sounds, because most people's next step is compressing the PDF to hit an upload limit. If this tool re-encoded your photo first, you would be degrading it twice โ once here and once there. Doing it once, at the point where you can actually see the trade-off, gives a much better result.
Page size, and why "fit" is usually right
Fit the image makes each page exactly the size of its photo. No white borders, no scaling, no distortion. This is what you want for scans, screenshots and photographed documents, which is most of the time.
A4 or US Letter places the image centred on a standard page with a small margin, scaled to fit and never stretched. Choose this when the result will be printed, or when a form expects standard pages.
An image is never stretched to fill a page. A distorted ID photo is a rejected application.
Expect a big file, then compress it
A photo from a modern phone is 8 to 12 megapixels. Four of them in a PDF can easily reach 20 MB โ far above what most portals accept.
That is normal and it is fixable: compress the PDF to your exact target once it is built. That tool will also tell you whether the size you need is realistic for the number of pages you have.
Getting a readable photograph in the first place
The quality of your PDF is decided before you open this page. A few things help far more than any software:
- Flat, even light. Daylight near a window beats a flash, which produces glare on glossy paper.
- Directly overhead. Photographing at an angle makes text keystone and much harder to read once compressed.
- Fill the frame with the document. Cropping later throws away the pixels you needed.
- Avoid shadows, especially your own leaning over the page.
If the result still will not compress small enough to be readable, a flatbed scanner at 200 DPI in black-and-white will beat any phone photo by a wide margin, at a fraction of the file size.
