Terms of use

The terms that apply when you use these free PDF tools, in plain English: what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

These are the terms for using PDFWren. They are deliberately short, and in plain English.

What you can expect

The tools are free, with no account, no limit on how many files you process, and no watermark on the output. You may use them for personal or commercial work.

We try hard to make them correct, and we test against real documents. But software has bugs, PDF is a famously messy format, and we cannot promise a perfect result on every file.

What we ask

Keep your original. Always. These tools produce a new file; they do not modify your original, and your browser cannot overwrite a file you did not explicitly save over. Even so, before you send a compressed document to a government portal, a court or an employer, open it and check it is readable.

Do not use the tools to process material you have no right to process.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. Because your files never reach our servers, we have no ability to recover, restore or inspect them, and we are not liable for loss or damage arising from their use. If a compressed file is rejected by a portal, or a page is unreadable at the size you chose, re-run it at a larger target.

Changes

If these terms change, the reviewed date on this page changes with them.
