Take out the pages you actually need
Splitting is usually a privacy task, not an organisational one. A bank asks for one page of a statement, not twelve. An employer wants your degree certificate, not the whole scanned folder. A form accepts two pages, and you have nine.
Sending the whole document because separating it is inconvenient means sharing more than you needed to. This tool makes the separation take a few seconds, on your own device.
Two ways to split
Extract a range gives you a single new PDF containing exactly the pages you asked for. Type them the way you would say them — 1-3, 7, 12-14. Ranges, single pages, or a mix.
One file per page bursts the document completely, producing a separate PDF for every page. These arrive as a single ZIP, because fifty separate download prompts is not a feature.
Nothing is re-encoded
Pages are copied across as-is. No rendering, no compression, no quality change — a split scan is pixel-identical to the original pages, and a split text document keeps its text selectable.
This is worth knowing if the pages you are extracting are already at a size limit. Splitting will not make them larger or smaller; it just removes the pages you did not want. If you need the result under a specific size, compress it afterwards.
A note on page numbers
The numbers you type are the positions of the pages in the file, counting from one — not the page numbers printed on the pages themselves. A report whose first page is a cover, with printed page 1 appearing third, still counts that cover as page 1 here.
If you are not certain, extract a small range first and check it before doing the rest.
Practical notes
- Keep your original. Extraction is non-destructive, but keep it anyway.
- Check what you extracted before sending it — especially if you are splitting to remove sensitive pages. If a page must be removed rather than not included, verify the result rather than assuming.
- Removing pages is not redaction. If the sensitive material is on a page you are keeping, splitting will not help. Text hidden under a black rectangle is still in the file.
